With a little creativity, you can have your home and office glammed up for the holidays with items you already have lying around … office supplies.
A holiday wreath can be an expensive decoration but this one that you can make at home will run you under $10. You need a foam circle and lots of thumbtacks (figure around six boxes) and simply make a line of thumbtacks around the wreath. Continue this process until the foam circle is covered in thumbtacks. This is a little time consuming but you won’t be disappointed when you finish. For some extra special flair, try spray-painting the thumbtacks with a holiday color or glitter.
Rubber Band Tinsel
Instead of traditional tinsel, try this rubber band decoration. Remember daisy chains that you made out of construction paper from when you were a kid? This is the adult version. It’s super easy to do and you can make the rubber band tinsel without putting much thought behind it. Simply link the rubber bands through each other and make a chain as long as your heart desires.
Want to make your Christmas for your loved ones extra special this year? Make your own advent calendar and personalize what the surprise is for each day. Grab some envelopes, number them to lead up to the big day and put items in the envelopes that you know the person who will be opening them will just love.
Paper Cup Menorah
For the Festival of Lights, lighting a menorah is a great way to bring a family together. A paper cup menorah is a fun and safe method to include the children who cannot light actual candles. Cut out the “lights” from construction paper and make slits on the bottom of your cups. Allow the little ones to “light” their menorah on all eight crazy nights.
Paper Clip Holiday Tree
With 1,000 paper clips, you can make a chic holiday tabletop tree in just a few steps. String your paper clips together on a gauge wire. Grab a 6-inch foam cone and stick one end of the worse gauge at the bottom. Circle the cone until you’re at the top and the entire cone is surrounded by paper clips. Voila!
From our jungle to yours, we wish you a Happy Holiday!
